Are you a dedicated early childhood educator who loves the outdoors and believes in play as the foundation for learning? Rainbow Playschool is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to guide and inspire our PreK classroom with creativity, compassion, and professionalism.

About Rainbow Playschool Rainbow Playschool is a nature-based, PreK-Qualified, Licensed Child Care Center serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. For over 40 years, we've been a cornerstone of the Woodstock, VT community. As a 4-star, state-accredited, community-owned nonprofit, we believe in fostering development through outdoor play, hands-on exploration, and intentional teaching. Our board of directors is composed of current and former parents, and our dedicated staff shares a deep commitment to nurturing each child?s growth.

Duties

What You?ll Do As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you'll take the lead in shaping an engaging and responsive learning environment for our young learners. Responsibilities include:
?Designing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
?Leading a classroom of preschoolers with warmth, creativity, and intention
?Managing classroom routines and transitions with consistency and care
?Supporting outdoor learning and organizing activities like local nature walks andcommunity outings
?Collaborating with assistant teachers and peers to ensure a cohesive teaching approach
?Maintaining open, professional communication with families, including daily reports anddevelopmental updates
?Utilizing Teaching Strategies GOLD for child development observation and assessment(training available if needed)
?Completing at least 15 hours of professional development annually

Required Qualifications
?Associate?s Degree in Education (Bachelor?s preferred)
?Vermont Teaching License (required)
?Willingness to learn and apply child assessment tools like Teaching Strategies GOLD

Rainbow playschool is a non-profit organization in the foothills of Mt. Tom in Woodstock, Vermont. We provide daycare and preschool services with an emphasis on play and outdoor education to children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old. Play. Learn. Grow.

Rainbow Playschool was founded in 1981, offering childcare services to the Woodstock communities. We are a four star state accredited program, operating at our newly renovated 8,000 square foot net zero building, which hosts beautiful classrooms dedicated to each unique learner. Children thrive in our large outdoor learning and play area, abutting the Marsh Billings National Park.
