Job Title: GIS Technician

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled GIS Technician   to support ongoing infrastructure documentation and geographic information system (GIS) updates for a long-term contract role in Colorado Springs, CO . This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in utility infrastructure data management and GIS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain GIS databases with accurate and current gas infrastructure information
  
• Act as a steward of authoritative documentation , ensuring critical records and technical documents are up to date and accessible
  
• Assist with knowledge transfer processes, serving as a resource for onboarding and training new staff
  
• Collaborate across departments to ensure data integrity and system consistency
  
• Leverage various tools and platforms to support day-to-day operations and documentation workflows
  

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency with:
  
• MAXIMO (Asset Management)
  
• SharePoint
  
• ESRI (GIS Software)
  
• AutoCAD
  
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience in utility or gas infrastructure projects
  
• Familiarity with technical documentation standards
  
• Background in GIS data stewardship or asset management
