Job Title : Food Safety & Quality Technician
Location : Carlisle, IA
Hours/Schedule : 3rd shift- 11pm - 7am
Type: Contract
 
Overview
Global food manufacturer looking for experienced FSQ Technician to support various plant Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) functions to ensure safe and high-quality finished products. 
 
Responsibilities

• Support FSQ programs through various analytical testing, physical auditing, verification and administrative duties.
• Monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation program compliance through daily and monthly verification and audits.
• Support plant HACCP program implementation through record verification.
• Partner with operation managers, team leaders and Quality Engineers to support production, decision making, issue management and risk assessment.
• Manage hold orders and plant sensory program.
• Provide training in the area of food safety, regulatory, sanitation and quality measurement systems to appropriate plant personnel.
• Support additional FSRA (Food Safety & Regulatory Assessment) and plant activities as assigned.
• Be trained as a primary back-up to the flour lab technician responsible for flour quality monitoring and specification compliance.

 
Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2-year Associate’s Degree (or equivalent work experience)
• Analytical lab experience of 1 to 3 years
• Bias for action and results
• Computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook) and ability to learn internal computer programs
• Willingness and ability to flex work hours as needed and adapt to change job requirements
