Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified Building Maintenance Technician candidates to work onsite with our customer in DFW Airport, TX. 

Pay Rate: 20-23/hr

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Job Summary

  The Facilities Technician is responsible for general maintenance, upkeep, and functionality of the campus facilities.  This position is also responsible for maintaining contract building maintenance services and Facility Technician staff.  This role is important for maintaining a safe, functional, and efficient building environment. 

  Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all safety standards and building codes are met and respond to security and safety issues.
  • Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform maintenance tasks such as painting, flooring repair, carpentry, plastering, and drywall repair to ensure buildings and equipment are maintained in good working order.
  • Repairs: General building maintenance, repairs and upgrades, and ensures optional functionality of all critical building systems including but not limited to: 
    1. All building structures 
    2. HVAC systems
    3. Utility systems (water, sewer, electricity)
    4. Storm water systems
    5. Process Water Systems
  • Vendor Services Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for contract facilities services (HVAC, Security, Janitorial, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Safety, Landlord, etc.).  Includes:
  • Maintenance Requests: Respond in a timely manner to maintenance requests and maintain the on-line database of requests.  Requests may be initiated through the Facilities Ticket portal, verbally, or via electronic communication (e-mail, Teams, text).

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years related building maintenance experience required.   Related Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school will be considered in lieu of years of experience

Preferred Skills:

• Able to work at a steady pace for up to ten hours per day.
• Detail Oriented
