Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a highly motivated individual for the following position: + **Job Title: Animal Health Laboratory Technician** + **Location: South San Francisco, CA** + **Salary Range: $35-$56/hour DOE** **Job Summary:** We are looking for a skilled and motivated Animal Health Technician to assist veterinarians in designing and implementing a veterinary care program at a research animal facility. This individual will act as a veterinary nurse, ensuring all animals in the colony receive timely and effective care. Responsibilities include managing clinical cases, updating medical records, conducting health monitoring, and assisting with animal procedures. **Key Responsibilities:** + Maintain IACUC protocols and prepare animal-use reports. + Oversee inventory of surgical, medical equipment, and veterinary supplies. + Document and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (AAALACi, USDA, CDC, NIH). + Coordinate training for animal handling and care. + Perform or assist with procedures like inoculations, surgeries, tissue collection, and phlebotomy. + Provide communication between the facility and research investigators regarding animal health. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in a basic science or health-related field and 4 years of relevant experience, **or** equivalent education/experience. + Certification or eligibility for certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) by the California State Board of Veterinary Examiners. + Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a high-throughput environment. + Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures for Environmental Health and Safety.**This desciption is a summary, please ask for the full description **Once you apply, you'll proceed to next steps if your skills and experience look like a good fit.
