STAFF SERVICES MANAGER I – COLORADO DESERT DISTRICT / ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES / COLORADO DESERT DISTRICT OFFICE

The reporting location for this position will be Colorado Desert District Headquarters Office, Borrego Springs, CA. This position will work under general direction of the District Superintendent. Under the general direction of the District Superintendent I, the Staff Services Manager I position supervises all aspects of the Administrative Program including contracts, fiscal management, personnel management, information systems, and business management services for Colorado Desert District. The SSM I will perform and direct analysis of financial and expenditure information and will maintain the databases to track, record and make projections. Also includes District wide strategic planning and longterm development of park units.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Occasional travel may be required. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.

Working Conditions

Predominantly works at a desk/computer workstation. Occasional travel to visit park units, attend trainings, and participate in off-site meetings. Lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 24 pounds.
