Accounting Specialist - Real Estate Development - Base Salary to 68k/year - Davidson, NC

• Our client, a small, well-established (30+ years in business) and still rapidly growing real estate development company is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the finance team based in the Charlotte/ Davidson, NC area (Mon-Fri, 40hrs/week, 8am-5pm) for a hybrid role (mostly remote with in-office visits in Davidson, NC a few times per month)
  
• Our client is seeking an Accounting Specialist to focus on A/P Admin Management, Expensify Management, Administrative Support, Audit & Regulatory Compliance Responsibilities, 1099 Reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update Expensify system and manage the main accounting inbox
  
• Monthly expense reimbursements, pull credit card transaction data, pay office rent, reconcile bank statements, organize AP invoices, track property tax
  
• Manage the A/P functions in Gravity software (vendor records)
  
• Help transition from paper checks to ACH
  
• File tax returns (sales, property)
  
• Help with WIP expense documentation
  
• Scan, convert, and organize all incoming loan statements and bank statements
  
• Ad Hoc support as needed

Qualifications:

• Accounting/ Business degree and 1+ years accounting experience, OR several years of Office Management/ Bookkeeping / Accounting Clerk experience
  
• Some experience in Expensify (or other expense reporting software), Microsoft SharePoint, and basic accounting platforms (Gravity or similar is a plus)
  
• Experience in some type of multi-entity accounting preferable; property management, real estate development, or private equity back-office operations is a plus!

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 60k - 68k/year range
